Deneuve=Fashion Icon

I cannot recommend this movie for the storyline, which never really manages to take off. BUT...the film encapsulates the best of Deneuve's soignee, bon chic bon genre style (helped along by YSL).

It's remarkable that this film was shot at the height of the hippy heyday, as none of her clothing seems to reflect that influence, save one paisley print on an otherwise "all business" oxford. The clothing is indeed timeless. Her daytime outfits ALL could have been worn in every decade from the 60's to the current day and would have never been thought dated. Take this film as a true lesson in effortless chic.

I loved her outfits too. Her trench coats and patent leather shoes are back in fashion, which is wonderful!
