More on the locations .....

Not a lot of people know this (and not a lot of people care!), but Gina Lollobrigida's home town was Subiaco, Lazio, Italy. Over many years I have been so frustrated at not finding the location where the coaches drive into and out of town. It wasn't Ariccia - I checked last summer. So I got to thinking: What if Gina Lollobrigida had some ideas on locations near her home town? Since my trip to the area last summer I have spent months looking at Google Images for towns near Subiaco that look right. FINALLY I have found the town at the start and at the end. I also found that very interesting town perched on a rock! These places are Cerreto Laziale and Rocca Canterano respectively.

So I have to go back in the Spring of 2011. Am I mad, or what? Like I said - not a lot of people care. Please put up a post here if you do!

As an Italian-American, I know that the men in my circle as a kid cared very much; they were divided between Camp Sophia and Camp Gina. My family liked Gina best as she was from the same region as us, and Sophia was a Neopolitan, though we respected Ms. Loren's acting ability, for sure. :-)
