I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants!

I remember seeing this little film with my sister late one Saturday night a long time ago. It was so bad we almost fell on the floor laughing. Our poor mother thought we were being tortured when she heard us screaming with laughter. I don't remember what set us off, the "monster" or the cornball native dances, but it was a total hoot. Definitely a movie to be savored for the pure camp.

This film was considered pretty frigtening when it originally came out. I think that since the actors took the film seriously and didnt try and yuk yuk it up, makes it have a more comedic appeal.

You want funny?

I just got back from the Cinematic Titanic treatment of this film in Hollywood. Much of the cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000 doing live riffing on one of the true camp classics. What a great show. And afterwards, the cast came out to the foyer, signed autographs, posed for pictures, and spoke to a couple of fanboy geeks for quite a while.

Can't wait for the Cinematic Titanic version to come out on DVD.

I thought this film was a whole lot of blithely ridiculous and tacky fun. The lumpy'n'rubbery humanoid monster was a complete gloriously ludicrous riot!
