I have thought this was a hilarious movie since I was a kid! Truly funny stuff....I'd have to say some of the funniest lines uttered include:
"Don't rush me! There. There's your Portugee....what's left of him!"
"It's powered by some kind of animal under the bow, it is!"
..of course, followed by:
"I'm of a mind to have a hand at the helm!"
Brilliant.
I think its really funny when Blackbeard refers to Prof. Jo Anne Baker as a "Bookish Wench"

My grandpa had recorded this movie for me and my siblings and we loved it!! Its a shame it got lost. I can't really remember the quotes, but pretty much everything Dean said was funny. Everyone thought he was crazy!

I don't know why but my favourite line was this:
'I pray you...know this...I Edward Teach, captain...affectionatly known...as Blackbeard...was not all...bad.'
Don't ask me but I just really like that line. I would just like to know how Robert Newton's Blackbeard would pull it off, because until the very end when he starts to whimper as the tide approaches, he is all bad!
My favorite lines come from when Blackbeard and Steve are in the car when Blackbeard is driving:
"I haven't finished my turn yet!"
and after when he gets thrown off of the hood:
"Man overboard!"
They're just quick little tidbits, but I loved them! But there are soooo many quotes, I just love the whole movie!!!

One of my favs, including ones already said, is at the end of the movie when Steve is shooting with his "hand-guns" and Mr. Seymore shouts "GET HIS GUNS!" even thought theres nothing in his hands. haha.

"Who's the poppinjay?"-Blackbeard asking who the policeman is.
"No..no, I don't see him. -sniff sniff- But I smell him!"
"Smell him?!"
"Yes, he's got a breath that would stun a horse!"-Steve explaining Blackbeard to Diane followed by a hilarious reaction from Blackbeard breathing and trying to sniff his own breath!
"Sit down, Ishmael!"-Mrs. Stowcroft's first words to Steve as he enters her fortune tellers booth!
"GIMME THAT RUBBING ALCOHOL! THAT'S NOT TO DRINK, YA IDIOT! WHAT'RE YOU TRYING TO DO KILL YOURSELF?!"
"Little late for that sort of thing isn't it? WHOOOOOOO!"-Steve getting upset at Blackbeard for imbibing medicinal alcohol.
"I'd choose myself a companion, a HEAR-TY companion! With a taste for rum! And for song! And for the occasional WENCH! Ah, but what have I got, hmmm? I've got, a schindy little beanrake! With the shakes and the whimpers!"-Blackbeard's observation of Steve.
"I wonder if there's a spell on how to make a track team out of a pig's ear."-Steve reading Aldetha Teach's book of spells.
"WHO CALLED ME OUT?!"

"'OO INVOKED ME?????"-Blackbeard appearing before Steve for the first time.
"UP! THE JOLLY ROGER!!!!"-Blackbeard awaking from his sleep to have an imaginary sword fight.
Just about any scene where you hear the organ music play for when Blackbeard starts to appear is hilarious! Personally, my favorite is where Steve's trying to drive to to Ye Jolly Roger Inn and we see Blackbeard's hand rise up in the backseat of the car, opening his bottle of rum, followed by the sound of guzzling, Steve sniffing, and then saying "Oh no...YOU'RE BACK! RIGHT?"
"I believe in him as a metaphysical image, not some stupid sticky-fingered GOOP!"-Diane explaining how she believes in Blackbeard to Steve.
"All ashore what's goin' ashore!"-Blackbeard breaking down the door to Silky Place with a slot machine.
"How can I move when you've stopped the music?"-me.
my absolute favorite is when the car is going in a circle and blackbeard tumbles off and yells "man overboard"
or when theyre in the jail cell and he climbs down and steps all over dean and is like "im down"
and then when dean asks blackbeard "have you ever helped an old lady across the street"
blackbeard laughs and says "thats silly"

I'm a little surprised that no one mentioned my favorite line. When Danny is placing his bet and Blackbeard switches the bets, the clerk looks at him and informs him of the bet. Danny looks at him like he's crazy and says "I wouldn't bet on Godoplhin to start with the letter G!" Extremely clever line, and awesome because it's applicable in real life situations.
