In the opening kidnapping sequence Peggy Church is walking down the street, drops a letter in the mailbox, enters a corner store, comes out munching on some chips and is approached by a weirdo holding a .38. Without a word she begins preening her hair while walking to the weirdo's old pickup.

Now, if you were a young lady threatened with a gun would you be preening your hair?

I got a chuckle out of that one. Maybe the director didn't notice but it appeared slightly comical.
