just got my copy.. Picture OK just but quite soft but sound awful keeps dropping out. it seems its the the uncut version. Ithink the original elements were in very poor shape..

I always thought this movie was, any licencing legalities considered, an excellent contender for a BFI Flipside release and was a little disappointed when I heard Network were releasing it as they wouldn't have the budget and facilities to do BFI standard restoration nor any contextualising essays.
As you say, I'm sure the surviving elements are probably far from pristine but I'm sure Network have cleaned it up the best they could. And frankly anything's better than the VHS rip that's been doing the file sharing rounds since the early days of broadband.
