US General's names
Why are they all fictitious??
Lucas (Lesley in the film) died in 1949, but Clark (Carson in the film) was still living when this film was made. Perhaps the studio feared a libel suit.

When I watched the film many years ago, the names were in fact Lucas and Clark. (I remember since I actually know people with the names Lucas and Clark). Looking at the Cast in IMDb, I noticed the names have been changed, for reasons not entirely clear to me.
