Maybe it's me, but I'm glad it was rejected. It sounds a bit dated although it could've been cutting edge for the time. What do you think?

I think the use of Romantic-era symphonic music contributed to making this a classic. Timeless music. Timeless film.

I remember hearing that stuff years ago and was so glad they didn't go with that. The way it worked out was just perfect.
