Space movies like this (ie "slow and boring")

Let's face it, space is boring. It doesn't move much. No colors. You can't even freaking hear anything out there. Even the most spectacular event, a super nova, takes a few months from ka- to -boom.

Other than this movie, are there any others that capture the oppressively slow feeling of space (i.e. realism)?

Only a few come to mind:
Moon (2009) - a guy who has spent 3 years alone on the moon is possibly losing his mind
Solaris (1972) - actually makes 2001 A Space Odyssey look like the Indy 500
Stranded (2001) - a mostly uneventful but tense story of astronauts stranded on Mars

"The Martian". Two hours of some guy pottering around a space station on Mars, and talking to the camera.

This one and Close Encounters of the Third Kind[/i]. A few scenes of an interesting story (Barry, his mother, and the aliens in [i]Close Encounters[/i], Dave and Hal in [i]2001), surrounded by a mind bending array of unbearable pointless, boring, and unconnected scenes guaranteed to drive the viewer to distraction, all beautifully filmed and acted of course.*

*Followed italics directions scrupulously and still ended up with this!
