On TV now again in Germany

I watched this first time in the seventies and accidentially saw that it's shown during christmas days right now again. Hilarious ! It's just so wonderful made. The voice over is so witty and close to the book.
I'm still giggling all through every part of it.

I found out only these days, that it's actually shot in Romania. When i saw it as a child i could've bet, it's shot at Missisippi River.
At that time i was committed to a life like Toms and Hucks anyway and after watching the mini series, i was sure, that is the final, only desirable way of life.

Hucky22, i visited your website and want to thank you for your great collection of information.
I was pleased to find lots about this one and all the other mini series, which i loved so much.
Great job !

Sadly it's apparently still not available on DVD. After watching the third part of it today, i wanted to order it immediately on amazon, but there's nothing. *bugger*
Hopefully it'll come one day!
