I want Nudity...
Lol, since the show is an online format now with swear words allowed, they should be a soap with NUDITY!! I mean it is 2013, I heard the love scenes would be more steamier but it is pretty tame, so far!
But it's also still available to everyone on the internet. Even though they don't have FCC regulations to answer to, I would imagine hulu, itunes, and PP are still trying to maintain SOME dignity.
shareI don't think maintaining dignity has anything to with it. Having nudity doesn't take away from anyone or anything's dignity. Some of the most acclaimed shows on TV have nudity. That's not really an issue.
It mostly has to do with advertisers. Even though they don't have to adhere to FCC standards, they still have advertisers to appease. Most products are family oriented or are made by companies who have a family-oriented image. And those advertisers will not buy spots for or sponsor a show that has content that clashes with the image of their company. When you sponsor a show, you endorse it. Having nudity or very explicit content will keep the sponsors away.

Well, the blow job in episode 1 didn't seem to turn any sponsors away. I think nudity is a national progression. Many feature films have nudity. Not pornographic, but nude. I imagine the original cast would have a problem with it, but if they bring in new actors/actresses and tell them that part of the job is to undress I think they would.
