We need a John McBain recast ASAP.

With both TSJ and RH leaving, the show has absolutely no male leads. Besides Victor and Todd, we have Bo, Clint, David, Cutter, Matthew and Jeffrey, but those guys aren't really leads. They can't carry the show.

We need John back to clear up his story. The longer he stays away, the more damage that's done to his character. Unless he's physically unable to return, there's no way he'd just abandon his son.

John serves the function as male lead and resident hero. Every show needs that. Even with Victor and Todd present, the show didn't have a male lead who was also a heroic type.

Funny cuz all the stuff you said about John is why I wouldn't want him as a male lead. I find him boring and the hero act dull. Plus, I don't want to put up with John and Natalie again.

Does anyone know if they tried to bring back Mark Lawson who played Brody Lovett?

I doubt they did. Brody went crazy and left on a pretty bad note - they redeemed him a bit in the final episode, but without Jessica there's no real reason to include him.

RH isn't leaving the show, people just keep assuming he is because of GH, but it's been reported he'll be able to do both. And we really have no idea what's going on with TSJ - he's gone now, but there's no reason to suspect he won't be back, especially as his story is far from wrapped up.

I'm personally enjoying a John-less OLTL and Natalie right now. If they need another male lead, I might suggest Rex.

The problem with Rex is that they would have to bring Gigi back, who I couldn't stand...unless he splits with Gigi and returns with Shane as a single father somehow, one would hope.

Since JPL and Farah Fath broke up in real life, I could definitely see them bringing on Rex without Gigi. Hell, they don't even have to bring Shane back, have him and Gigi both stay in London.

That could work for me. I always really liked Rex, just without Gigi!! If they get JPL back I would like his character to return to the way he was pre-Gigi.
