DVD available for pre-order

Season one Volume one on DVD is available for pre-order for $35.00 on Amazon.com. Apparently it is half of season one I believe 13 episodes. Rather rip-off price but at least we can watch it.

Can't afford to purchase but it will be going into my NetFlix queue right now!

The price at Walmart will be thirty dollars. Don't buy it on Amazon.

A shame it's only 13 episodes. Hopefully it is uncut.

Any idea if they will release any of the later seasons? Would love to be able to collect all of these....

i just picked up all 125 epi on dvd for $40 from a seller at ioffer.com

What was the quality like? I just took a punt and ordered all 125 eps from tvdvdstore who advertise a lot of shows that have not been officially released. They should arrive in the next week or so - am a wee bit tentative but they seem legit....

well since i watched the first season release, i started with the reunion movie and the quality wasn't great, so i was nervous. it really was almost unwatchable without my eyes feeling weird, UNTIL i sat about 12 ft away then it was ok. when i started season two i was relieved at how good it was for a copy off tv to dvd. i am satisfied with the quality for the most part. most epi's thru to season four seem to come from FX and the ones that aren't from a familiar station are alittle less in quality but still enjoyable. i very happy with what i got and that i didn't have to wait to official releases.

Thanks for that. I received my DVD's from TVDVDstore.net. There were 31 DVD's in total and the packaging was a bit rough. I thought I was buying from the USA but the package arrived from China. I did not test the first 6 DVD's as these encompassed Season 1 which I had already purchased. Out of the remaining 25 DVD's 9 of them would not read in my multi-region machine (despite promises on their website this woudl not be an issue); they appeared scratched and at least one appeared to be recycled. However, I have watched 8 episodes so far of the ones that I can view and these appear to be very good quality - yes, they were clearly taped off of cable TV but the sound and picture quality is much better than I had thought. I have been in touch with the company as per their returns policy and they have assured me they will replace the 9 unreadable discs free of charge. As I only got this affirmation today I will wait and see what happens - will be 10 days or so before tey arrive so will let you know how it goes..... :-)

Hi there

Yeah, discovered one of the other DVD's won't play so far so that is over a third of them and that's not taking into account the first 6 discs which I have not tested ( although the company has committed to replacing all the defective ones at this stage). I have watched about 20 episodes so far - am into season 3 but have missed out on some of this season and season 2 episodes because of defective discs. Of the ones that do play, some are better quality than others but they are watchable so if the replacement discs come through and all work will have been worth it. These things are always a risk but if you want to see a show badly enough and there is no real committment for an official release then I guess its a risk that you have to take.

reply

thats how i felt about the risk. BUT if your replacements don't work i'd see about a refund, then buy them from someone else. ... PM me if that happens i cant give you my sellers info.

Thanks for that. I have finished up with the ones I was able to watch and, in the main, the quality was ok - certainly good enough to watch and enjoy the episodes (including the reunion movie). There were 10 discs ( out of 31) that did not work in the end and the replacements are on their way. Remains to be seen if THEY all work - at the law of averages I am expecting about a third of them not to work but HOPE I am proven wrong as the 10 discs between them seem to have all the best episodes on (The Death of Wild Bill Hannechek etc). I do have another source I can consider but will most definitely PM you if the replacement discs are dodgy.

Many thanks
