Do any of you remember this episode? It may have been more than one episode...It's hard to sort through twenty-odd years of memories...I just remember that a "spoon was all he ever wanted". Any idea of how to get old episodes?

That is the "Spoon Mountain" opera, Episode number 1505, originally airing on Friday, July 2, 1982. That episode still airs regularly, and is in fact scheduled to air on Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, so there is no need to obtain old episodes to see it. I am not aware of any way to obtain old episodes.
Just so you know, any episode numbered 1-130 (black and white, produced in 1968) or 1001-1460 (color, produced between 1969 and 1976) no longer airs. The episodes that still air are the ones produced between 1979 and 2001, with episodes numbers 1461-1765, with the exception of the week on "Conflict", which was episode numbers 1521-1525. If an episode is not on the schedule for this year, odds are it will be scheduled for the following year, so you rarely have to wait more than about 2 years.
