The McFeely's

Are David Newell (Mr McFeeley) and Betty Seamans (Mrs McFeeley)Married in real life?

reply

No, they are not married in real life. Also, when the show started in 1968, David and Betsy (I think she used the name Betsy, not Betty) were both much younger than the Mr. and Mrs. McFeely characters that they portrayed. In fact, the Mr. and Mrs. McFeely characters on the show never aged, but the other human cast members did.

No. I met David Newell when I was in high school working at the Pittsburgh Childrn's museum. They had "Mister Roger's visit" day s and "Mr. McFeeley" aka David Newell came sometimes. He brought his family once so they could hang out while he did his show (don't worry the kids didn't know he was with them so they didn't see that he wasn't really Mr. McFeeley). Anyway, thats wasn't his wife, but his wife was a really nice lady. He was a cool guy too.
