Unaired pilot

Just watched it.
The dog attack at the end was cut and instead Steve gave a positive speech about doing what it takes to get home.

Which do you think would have been better?

The original pilot was a bit of a downer because Steve basically says to Fitzhugh (after fitz has loses his $hit after the dog attack) like it or not this is our world now.

In the unaired pilot Steve's speech give everyone hope of getting home and Fitz finds the path to the ship. Everyone walks of with smiles Even Dan in the background playing with Barry's hair
