All of the actors on this show were so stagey and annoying. Certainly was the direction - they seem to have been told to act at a fever pitch, as though they were performing in a children's theater.
They all seemed to be screaming their lines, and none of them came off as remotely credible human beings. I remember liking this show a bit when I was a kid, but boy, has it aged terribly.
I agree. This is a cute show, but I have to watch it in moderation because if I overdue it; I notice all the things you mentioned. I am really not a fan of child acting because they are almost always terribly bad, but I think because the kid who portrayed Corey was so adorable, it made up for him always screaming his lines. He kind of reminds me of a boy version of my niece (pictured in my avatar, who's now 8)
At least the children have an excuse, what were the adult's excuse?
