Love The Adopted Kid Thrown Into Danger Angle!

One should try not to think critically of Joe 90 but as the years pass and discussions happen over alcohol beverages, I thought about how Joe was an adopted kid off of the street thrown into very dangerous situations. Talk about exploiting a kid! That doctor dad was a mean dude! Love the show, will have to play this for my ADD grandson and see if he likes it too someday. Kill Joe kill!

Also, what about those tapes used to reprogram Joe's brain? What if the tape gets eaten by the machine? Poor Joe, he's comatose. Kill Joe kill!

I had just the same thought myself, those men are exploiting poor Joe and they are cowards. It's no surprise that the brainwashing happens inside a giant hamster wheel. And if dad or uncle had accidentally popped in an eight track tape of Piper at the Gates of Dawn or something? Plus, they give the kid a gun!

And then I wondered, is the whole thing a dark satire, a poke at the educational system and the role of education in politics, world events, and stuff. Probably not.

Watching the great This Is Supermarionation Blu ray, I'm struck by how much Joes dad looks like Gary Oldman's George Smiley in Tinker Tailor.
