What happened to her husband ?

Well, we know that she's a widow, but do we know how her husband died? I'm in season 2 and they didn't say it or maybe I missed it.

Does someone know? Do they say it later in the serie?

She murdered Ricky - she was sick and tired of him bossing her around and forcing her to "'splain" all the time.

I think he went on a three-hour tour with some millionaires, a midwest girl, and a movie star and was never heard from again.

And unfortunately there's the long-lost dramatic Very Special Episode where Lucy learns this same missing husband fathered three young girls by a second wife, who was now married to a widower with three sons.

Good answer!

hmmm Either that - or else (she likes her Bobs, right?) her Bob could also have a brunette wife in Chicago and a blonde wife in Vermont. That way, he could still dream of redhead Lucy.

And that would make him a millionaire, an architect, a psychologist and an innkeeper, as in "One for the money, two for the test, three to get steady and four to rest."

Mellow Salutations!

Ironically, her maiden name in the series was Hinkley....same as Roy Hinkley, the professor on Gilligan's Island.

She divorced Ricky Ricardo. And then Ricky Ricardo married Ethel Mertz and took Fred's place after Fred divorced Ethel. Even in the very first episode of I Love Lucy, Lucy says that Ethel wants a divorce. And you can see Fred Mertz very very happy about it.

And as proof, here is a video of it, in color.

I think he ran off, changed his name for Charlie, and opened a private detective agency staffed only by women.

It's never said what happened to her husband.

Last I heard, he transitioned to "Carmen" and has been spotted at Latin clubs dancing with a bowl of bananas on her head.
