Price of season 1

I purchased season one for my friend a few years ago and she LOVED it! I've been checking off and on to see when season two would be available, and was thrilled to see that it was for sale on Amazon for $31.99. But season one was priced at $299.99!

I thought maybe it was a mistake, so I looked on Ebay and see they are listing for similar prices.

Does anyone know why season one is so valuable?

Because season 1 is now Out Of Print, so sellers are pushing the price sky high. Shout should get permission from Sony to republish season 1
