Opening credits ..... Zooming in on McGarret

I've been wondering how this was done and I'm guessing a helicopter was used and starting close and moving out with the film reversed to show zooming in as zooming in from a distance would be difficult to get to your target.

Thanks for that, it doesn't appear that it was filmed from close up then reversed which has surprised me. It is part of one of the best ever title sequences though.
