Moments of Bravery

I saw a post recently regarding a moment of bravery from Mainwaring in Asleep in The Deep and it got me thinking of other random moments of real bravery.

Battle of Godfrey's Cottage - When Mainwaring, Frazer and Jones think the Nazis are attacking them and they are all prepared to fight and die to protect their country.

Jonesy having the grenade attached to him in the "Don't tell 'em Pike" episode.

Mainwaring and Wilson holding the bomb in "Something Nasty in The Fault"

Any more?

Anthony Soprano Snr - "You don't gotta love me, but you will respect me"

If I recall correctly, they all seemed to keep their cool when under machine gun fire from that downed German plane in the reservoir. I don't remember the particular episode title at the moment.

Was that episode The Lion Has Phones??? or The Bullet is not for firing

Pvt. Godfrey walking across the minefield with a cup of tea just because he thought Pike might want some company.

Godfrey going into the smoke-filled hut to get Mainwaring out after they'd all branded him a coward.

Wilson going into a room of IRA men and beating them up

Mainwaring going over the roof of the moving train in the royal train episode. He's a very brave man, especially taking Jones over the train roof with him, he had to save him twice.

Mainwarning again. In “Sons of the Sea” he is saying goodbye to his men after encouraging them to make their own way back across the channel. He comes to Godfrey, pauses and says “You stay with me Godfrey. I’ll get you home” although he knew it would mean they wouldn’t make it very far.
