Okay, I'm A Little Confused

As a kid, seeing Archie, Sabrina, Juggie, Reggie, Moose on Saturday mornings, you don't distinguish Archie Show, Sabrina, Funhouse, And Friends, Hour Program or whatever else there might have been.

The only one I distinctly recall was U.S. of Archie.

So I send off for the dvd set, which has about two eps of each incantation? Or variations thereof.

The third dvd had three episodes of Sabrina, I think, but all four dvds had one episode of U.S. of Archie.

So then I send off for Sabrina, The Teen Age Witch and it includes as a bonus, the first episode of The New Archie/Sabrina Hour, from 1977.

Okay, whenever that last show aired, either it didnt last in my area, or it didn't make it here at all, but watching it (and since there is one episode of this show included in the previous dvd assortment) I do have to say that the ending credits and the tune sound very familiar.

Now what really surprises me is that Sabrina seems to have been around since 1969, but she won't get her own show until a good two years later. She would share a show with the Groovy Goolies, then graduate to her own stories, tho they were heavily incorporated with Riverdale High antics and Horrible Hall antics as well.

Now TV Funnies, I know which one that is.

First show seems to be about the most solid, the most pure.

Where I get lost is all that in-between. New Friends, Comedy Hour, Fun House?

The problem is in trying to remember stories and adventures and not having an ever-lovin' clue where they came from.

As I said, I ordered Sabrina, and remembered alot from Sabrina, little scenes and snippets all came back to me.

I plan on ordering Archie, original series. I will really be surprised if I remember any of that, cuz I'm really not sure how long it stayed on the air in my area.

Even now, having watched Sabrina, I was kind of surprised that in the course of 17 episodes, or however many it was, Harvey and those other two made-up classmates, Ophelia was the girl, right? They all vanished, for about a half-dozen eps, it was back with the Groovy Goolies, then coming out of that, Harvey never returned, nor did Salem or the aunts very much.

Not surprisingly, Reggie and Moose came front and center in Sabrina's episodes, as kind of a villian and bungling sidekick.

But one episode of Sabrina actually had Reggie on a date with Sabrina and he fell for her (tho he was under a spell by one of the aunts).

Archie's Funhouse is on dvd. I'll have to check the four disk set to see if an episode of this one is in there. Is this the show that had the giant jukebox? Might be worth it.
