The Car chase makes no sense

So, Bond is walking slowly, while 'henchman car' behind him is driving slowly, with a henchman pointing a gun at Bond - that henchman is obviously planning to shoot Bond dead. However, Aki suddenly arrives and yells: 'Get down!'.

(How DOES Aki manage the same trick twice, with similarly 'in the nick of time' timing? - Furthermore, won't the HENCHMAN also hear that 'get down' and thus KNOW Bond is probably going to 'get down', and shoot and aim accordingly?)

Now, the henchmen in the car shoot - but don't hit anything vital. Not Bond, not Aki, not the gas tank, not the engine or tyres of the car. What were they shooting at?

The henchman-car also speeds up and drives away. Why? The targets are right there, practically 2 meters away, in their sights, they could just stop their car, shoot at Bond, Aki and the car until all three are dead. There's no need for them to move. Why do they speed away after (and while) shooting (and failing to hit ANYTHING - is it THAT hard to get well-trained henchmen in Japan of the 1960s)??

Now, this is only half the mystery. Ok, so Bond and Aki survived the drive-by shooting, yay! They start driving, but for SOME reason that I can't understand, they don't do the logical thing and TURN AROUND 180 degrees and go as fast as they can to the opposite direction, but instead, they just drive the SAME DIRECTION the henchman car was driving. Now there's a sudden car chase, during which, the henchman have NO PROBLEM shooting a gun in public.

So, what was the reason for them driving away from Bond+Aki in the first place? WHAT?? WHAT REASON?! AAGH! MAKES NO SENSE!

Also, how did they know Aki and Bond would be stupid enough to drive in FRONT of them (maybe 5 meters in front) even if they just keep driving? I mean, how did they know? Wouldn't they AT LEAST have stopped to WAIT which direction Aki+Bond are going to drive in? What if Aki+Bond had been a bit slow, then Aki+Bond would've ended up BEHIND them!

It makes NO SENSE! Can anyone explain the logic of the henchmen's actions AND Aki+Bond's actions in this scene? EVERYONE IS ACTING COMPLETELY ILLOGICALLY!

How did this get written? Didn't anyone object to this scene's nonsensical stupidity?

I would like to know after the car was lifted off the ground, Bond is watching on monitor in the car. From the view on his monitor, the camera would have to be suspended in mid air. Makes no sense. The same thing happens at the end in Blofelds lair. He is watching on his monitor the capsule get captured but the camera would have to be suspended in space considering the view on his monitor at the time. 2 plot holes
