Too bad Charles Gray didnt play Blofeld

Totally disagree, I've always been annoyed with the fact that Donald Pleasance only played him once.

While I enjoy Charles, Donald, and Telly, none of them really lived up to the faceless figure seen in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE and THUNDERBALL. Especially their voices.

well, i have to disagree as well, pleasence was right for "you only live twice", telly savalas for "on her majesty's secret service" and gray in "diamonds are forever", actually i like all actors who played blofeld a lot, so i think it's perfect, i guess savalas had played mostly bad guys at that point before the tv series "kojak" in the 1970s. in the beginning was the actor, in the last season i believe, of the 1960s british cult series "the avengers", quite a few stars from that series have had roles in the bond franchise (honor blackman, diana rigg, patrick macnee). someone mentioned the voice of blofeld in the opening of "for your eyes only" was the actor from this movie, i now hear how it resembles. the "i'm glad we got that out of the way" bit was great, bond telling another man "i love you". i felt the volcano bit happened so soon, thought it was just towards the end of the movie. notice it's so odd how m and moneypenny has the final bit of the movie, that is usually bond with the bond girl.
