Blofeld actor from Diamonds are Forever

I thought that Henderson looked familiar. He also played Blofeld in a later movie, Diamonds are Forever.

Anyone know how that came to be? Were the producers so impressed with his two minute long Henderson role that they needed him to come back to the franchise?

Why didnt they just use the same Blofeld actor from this movie?

It's not unusual for actors from previous Bond films to be brought back as different characters in later installments, and I don't like this. Joe Don Baker was the main villain in The Living Daylights, and then only two films later he returned as a different character in GoldenEye and then again in Tomorrow Never Dies.

Not only this, but Charles Gray was awful as Blofeld in Diamonds are Forever

I think he was perfect for the movie. Comedic villainy in a unintentional comedy

Well, if you look at it from that point of view, yes. But he wasn't near the level of Pleasance or Savalas.
