I remember seeing the "jean" sequence on BBC America a long time ago, back when they would put peter sellers movies in the afternoon and monty python. I saw the dvd version recently and we see that after jean buys the power saw we cut to michael caine getting on the bus. But I remember seeing on BBC america that after she comes out of the store, she gets on the bus, michael caine misses the bus and she's like sad but then he gets on it at the next stop. Does anybody remember this? or was it just in me head?

It might be in your head, or a scene cut from the DVD. The extant version on the DVD shows Caine's character getting on the bus while Jean is already inside. Perhaps there was some business trimmed out where he is seen scrambling to catch the bus she's already on. It would make sense, though it's also possible you filled in that scene yourself thinking about it later on, to the point where it was part of your memory by the time you saw the DVD version.

I wonder why they would cut such a small part from the film, given it doesn't run that long without it. Those sorts of edits do happen with older films, though.
