I was thinking about watching this but I read that there are animal killings and a lot of deaths.. this was back in the 60's so I imagine it's not too graphic (at least not compellingly so) but I was wondering if anyone could give me a heads up on how violent this actually is?

I imagine you've already watched it by now, but for anyone else who's interested, the results of car crashes are depicted throughout the entire film, with lots of blood. It all looks pretty fake. There are lots of shootings, though people are rarely seen actually getting shot, and when they are, it looks fake. A pig and a chicken are killed violently, on screen. As a vegan, I am strongly opposed to the killing, but otherwise I thought it was a great film. I get the feeling that if there weren't laws against it they would have killed people too. Not that that makes it OK. Obviously.
