If they remake this, who would you pick to play Susy?

If they remade this, and you were in charge of casting, who would you pick to play the Audrey Hepburn role of Susy Hendrix?

My pick would be either Famke Janssen, Vera Farmiga, Natalie Portman, or Milla Jovovich.

Catherine Zeta could be good.

Nobody. It would be idiocy to remake it. It can't be improved upon, meaning it would only be worse.

For pure vulnerability, Alyson Hanigan. She's more a TV actress than movie star, though.

Maybe Liv Tyler? She has a certain fragility. Or Elle Fanning, but she's too young at the moment.

I'd see Kirsten Dunst for a different remake. She has haunting eyes and she can be both strong and vulnerable.

reply

Catherine Zeta Jones, or if not available, Kristen Stewart.

I've seen this recently and was impressed, but you couldn't smuggle in heroin like that today. Couldn't the guy just have hidden in a carry on, his clothes, and such, too? Was the border that lax then? You can just replace with some other contraband. Assuming these three were smaller con men, would it make murder worth it? I dunno. However, the strong, disabled woman who can take care of herself is attractive. Even the way the girl defends her at the end.
