I am surprised this film is not getting more attention since James Rolf, the Angry Video Game Nerd did a feature on it. He warned us not to watch it, it is not on DVD and goes for about $200 on ebay so I doubt I'll ever get to.
shareRight now there are two DVD-Rs of the film for sale on iOffer: one is only $6.00; the other is selling for $12.99. I have come to prefer iOffer to eBay; I think that they have a MUCH greater variety of rare films. I would not expect too much in terms of picture quality. I myself taped this weirdly entrancing film in the SP mode off a satellite station several years ago, and then transferred it to a DVD-R myself. The plus is that the picture is not fuzzy, whereas the print is poor, and the station logo ever-present in the lower right. I myself am toying with the idea of trying to replace mine. I first saw “The Vulture” in 1975, when I was seven, and it scared the s*** out of me; thus my interest in it is purely nostalgic (although there ARE a few creepy scenes). I hope you have some luck.
