S. John Launer?

At the beginning of the movie a man with horn rim glasses is sitting at a desk asks if Vaughn's character is sober, then tells him he is sending him to Venice. I could swear that this is S. John Launer of Dragnet (as well as many other tv shows) fame but he doesn't show up in the credits. ANyone know if this is him?

i dont know the answer to your question but it strikes me to reply to it.

mostly dueto the foto of the young george mcfarland in your profile.

aka spanky.

a perfect juvenile comedian.

by the time the later day george mcfarland arrived in detroit windsor ontario afternoon tv in the late 50s early 60s he was not as he had been as an infant. how he was so funny as a knickerbocker and mostly unfunny as a 35 year old afterschool host. we had great tv in motown but spanky was by far not our finest hour.

(that george 'spanky' mcfarland and robert 'napoleon solo' vaughn were making the public pay attention to them in the early 60s says a lot about who we were and who we are. if you have read this far i think you for your kind attention.
