I had heard of this movie so thought I would give it a chance especially considering it had a sequel I thought it would be good. The women were over sexualized, there were homophobic slurs and the songs sucked. Other than that... well there isn't much. The acting wasn't even very good.

[spoiler]Okay, I felt a little bad when Sharon Tate's character got breast cancer. That would be rough on any woman.[/spoiler]

I felt like I had to finish it, but wished Netlix had a button to speed things up. haha.

Nobody thinks this movie is good!

Some people find it unintentionally hilarious or highly camp, and therefore entertaining. But that's not the same thing as good.

I wasn't aware it had a sequel. There was Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, but that had nothing to do with this movie. What was the name of the sequel?

"Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" is more of a ripoff than a sequel. It has nothing to do with the original.

It is, however an insanely ridiculous film that's so horrible and over the top that it's a lot of fun if you're feeling snarky or are totally hammered.

I have watched this movie because i always been a big fan of Patty Duke and it sure is a big dissapointment.

Yes, it’s bad, monumentally bad…so bad it’s good. A camp classic that’s great fun to watch with friends & howl over.
