I Have the DVD!

I just got my copy of UtDS on DVD,and I'm watching it now. And while I'm glad I've got it, I have to admit, I was hoping for more from it. Granted it does have the trailer, and yes it's the trailer from this movie(unlike the DVD of "Real Genius"). However it could use a user comment by Robert Mulligan. The DVD is available in widescreen, and it's bilingual. The problem is, the other language is French. Not that I'm saying anything against that, but considering the neighborhood it was filmed in, and a significant number of the students/extras in this movie, the second language should've been Spanish.

At the very least, it doesn't make me think I'd be better off with just the videotape.

I ordered mine and should get it soon. The fact it is in widescreen is one of the big selling points for me. I will be glad to retire my VHS tape. I agree there could be some more extras for it, but at least it's on DVD now.

I have mine. About time! Some features would be nice, but widescreen makes it great. The picture quality is very good, with vibrant colors, and the soundtrack is clear (I love Fred Karlin's score!) Also, they managed not to mess up the subtitles by cutting them off at the bottom, the way so many DVDs do. It's good to see the whole show.
