Is it accurate that, in 1967, a New York city school (do they mention it is East Harlem?) would be this integrated? I would think it would be much more segregated racially but perhaps I'm incorrect.

I worked at a Brooklyn school in the 90s and aughts that was this integrated. Let me tell you, that is VERY UNUSUAL. VERY. But it's real.

Hardly unusual for the '60s. It was over the following years that schools began to get more segregated.
