Does anybody know where it is possible to buy classic films such as this one? I have managed to obtain some good Russian animated films via Amazon, but would love a copy of this film and also of a short called La Derniere Femme de Barbe Bleue.

I just found it on amazon.fr (PAL DVD) listed as "Le Dirigeable volé".
Interestingly I've watched a number of the Japanese Zeman DVDs but not this one and I can only find the 8 DVD boxed set on Amazon.co.jp and some sort of 1 DVD collection released by Pioneer. Perhaps the individual volumes are out of print now (2005). FWIW the print quality on the Japanese DVDs I saw is excellent though expectedly you only have the original Czech sound and optional Japanese subtitles. I've not seen the French DVD.
It is also available in the original Czech version, with English and Czech subtitles. My copy is coming from:
