Cool Cars from the 1960's

I recently watched part of this movie and couldnt help but think how much cooler just your ordinary cars looked compared to the ones out today.

You got that right. Tony Rome is also the best movie to watch if you want to see how great Miami used to look...also check out Lady In Cement...

It's spelled "Definitely."

reply

Your right, so much so that I bought myself a 1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau hardtop which I treasure.

Why was Tony driving the 61 Galaxie if the film was made in 67! How many big shots drive a 6 year old Ford.

reply

He was hardly a big shot. He lived hand-to-mouth and on a boat.

NOW TARZAN MAKE WAR!

reply

Whoever said he was a big shot?

To paraphrase Fernando, "It was better to look good than to run good". Yes, they had unique looks, and I can still name most of them when watching a late 60s movie, but they were lucky to last much more than 50,000, leaking oil their entire run. Today they may all look alike, but 100,000 is nothing for them.

Life is pain. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

In case you can't name all of them in "Tony Rome" -- http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=62380

That Cougar that Sue Lyon drives is one you don't see anymore. It is way rarer than the Mustangs of that era.

Don't you have better things to do with your time than watch the MOVIES! channel in the middle of the day? 

Nope, everyone's at work.
