Alice Blake
I've seen this movie several times but does anyone know what happened to her? I know she jumped out the window in the movie and apparently didn't die but she's never mentioned again. Just wondering

Dennis entitled "Up the Down Staircase." Alice Blake was a character in "Up the
Down Staircase" who had a crush on her English teacher, Paul Barringer (actor
Brian Bedford). She tried to commit suicide, but at least in the movie, failed.
(I have read the book, but it has been so long ago that I don't remember whether
or not she succeeded in killing herself in Bel Kaufman's book.)
