Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla: The DVD

Believe it or not, this actually applies to "To Sir, With Love."

A couple years ago, we got this movie on DVD for my mother; its one of her favorite movies of all time, and the reason she's a big Sidney Poitier fan. It was a double-sided DVD, which would, in theory, have the Widescreen version on one side, and the Full-screen version on the other.

Those of you who were scratching your heads at the title of this message have likely had a moment of horrible awareness of what actually happened.

One side was, indeed, the full screen version of "To Sir, with Love." The other side was "Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla"... as th only time I've checked I was about to watch the movie with my mom, I don't know if it was full-screen or widescreen.

I tried getting in contact with the distributors, but they have a website that discourages actual information, in favor of marketing. Since mom likes full-screen versions just fine, we never bothered to fix this oddity.

Got the same DVD - never thought about pursuing it, because I doubt To Sir w/Love loses much in the full screen chop. Doesn't look like it.

Weird, though.

Don't feel too bad. I bought the single-disc version of Tombstone once and wound up with a copy of the second disc (special features) of the two-disc version of the movie. The only problem is, the label was for the single-disc version, so nobody really believed me. Anyhow...weird things happen with these, how do you say -- DVDs?

I got the same DVD version, too. I wonder how many of these errors they made.
