Muzzy's House

Anybody know if this is the same house used to film "The Great Gatsby" (Redford version)? When they were showing the exterior, where there is a wide porch thing with all the dining tables, it looked a lot like the same house.

It also looked like the house Bogie's family lived in (sorry, don't remember the character names) in the original "Sabrina." Especially when they showed the very tall hedges with the arches cut into them.

??

Ah, the rapier wit of an armless D'Artagnan.

The house used in The Great Gatsby was Rosecliff, in Newport Rhode Island. I don't know what house was used for the airial view from the plane in TMM, but the terrace and gardens were a studio set.

I think the estate grounds shown in the aerial shot are of a genuine Long Island mansion.

The party scenes at night were all shot on a sound stage at Universal Studios.

As far as "Gatsby" is concerned, the main building used to portray Gatsby's mansion is Rosecliffe in Newport, Rhode Island (it was also used in James Cameron's "True Lies" with Arnold Schwarzenegger). However, other buildings were also used to portray parts of Gatsby's house: Marble House (the gold-panelled room and the hallway outside Gatsby's bedroom) and The Breakers (the kitchen scenes), both of these are in Newport as well - and some house out in England (for the pool scenes and the room where Nick first meets with Daisy).
