I am very interested to see that movie, I am searching in the web to find places to see that movie. The Boston Turkish Film Festival showed the picture last year. Are they going to repeat the movie this year? I'm from California, please let me know if you have any information. Thank you...
I think I can help you on this, I couldnt find out how to send a personal msg so Im writing down here. If you can able to contact me over a personal one or just like I did I will give you the information to reach the film or at least I will send you a copy.
Please I'd appreciate very much if you could help me finding a copy of the film "Susuz yaz " (1964). If it is available, please send me also a message to the following e-mail address: [email protected] (Including the details for it price cost e.t.c.) Thanks in advance J.B.
It's still available for free watching in full at http://www.theauteurs.com It's listed as "Dry Summer"
I advise you to pause the film at the scene where you see a shotgun held up close to the camera against the sky in the background, then you see the shotgun being held up by a man to his shoulder ready to fire, at this point seriously do yourself a favour and move the counter forward by about 1 min
He shoots a dog - horrificly Then the film cuts to Osman looking for his dog - it's ok to start watching again as Osman is calling for his dog.
You're forgetting the scene where Osman carries the dog's dead body on his shoulders and then throws it down. As shocking and cruel as it is, it's part of the movie, I think you shouldnt butcher the movie. Most shocking part for me was the cow scene.
Better late than never, but I've just obtained an EST copy of this film. Have not watched it yet but am converting a PAL copy to NTSC. Anyone interested in a copy email me at: [email protected]. I will trade for another title or just offer it. Sincere takers only, please.
