This film doesn't even compare to Germi's Divorce Italian Style or Seduced and Abandoned, both of which I really enjoyed. I was greatly disappointed with this film.

I'm not in the habit about starting threads that trash films but in this case I felt compelled. This film is just that bad. I'm guessing it's because it' pure Italian humor, that as an American I just don't get. Horrible.

I think you are very right that you don't get it, true also though that Divorce Italian Style is a funnier, better written and more compelling film.
