Just when I thought cinema couldn't get better...........

Just when I thought "Hot Rods To Hell" couldn't be topped along came the masterpiece "Riot on Sunset Strip"!

And, of course, both Hot Rods To Hell and Riot On Sunset Strip were produced by B-movie mogul Sam Katzman. Both films also featured quite a few of the same players (e.g. Mimsy Farmer, Laurie Mock, Gene Kirkwood, Hortense Petra). In fact, Hortense Petra, who played the "juicer" mother in Riot and the spouse of the loudmouth reckless older driver in Hot Rods, was actually Katzman's wife in real life.

I'd also recommend Katzman's other '67 youth film, The Love-Ins, for those who "love" this type of genre. Another kitsch classic! : )
