comments after watching the dvd.

Some people on here are suggesting almost a conspiracy about this film not being well known or available.

Having just watched the film on dvd I think it is clear why the film is not well known,it is heavy handed satire with an awful cast and poor script.

The film has been on dvd/blu ray in the Uk for a few years and I saw it on BBC tv in the late 1970s/early 1980s.

I think that it is interesting but not a classic by any means.
Paul Jones is a good singer but a poor actor and Jean Shrimpton can barely speak .

But I am glad I saw the film, even if I had to pay 20 pounds for it.
The director used to know Kevin Brownlow the director of IT HAPPENED HERE,he obviously learned a lot from him,how to film a fascist rally for example.

As a fan of The Kinks,The Who and David Bowie I would love to know how this film influence the writing of The Kinks PRESERVATION albums,The WHO's TOMMY and Bowie whole ZIGGY thing.

I used to have a vinyl (obviously) ep of the soundtrack, wish I still had it.
