I loved this film; what others like it would you recommend?

Definately Flowers In The Attic. If you loved "Our Mother's House", like I did, you'll fall in love with this movie too. There's a book too, if you're interested, and though it's superior to the movie (like all noves that are adapted into films), the movie is a solid thriller on its own. It deals with similar themes as "Our Mother's House", such as misguided religiosity/sense of God and family betrayal.

Also, be sure to check out The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane with a young Jodie Foster and Martin Sheen.

These two movies I haven't seen, but, reading the storylines, it seems they are in the same vein as Our Mother's House:

"Where the Lilies Bloom" (1974) and "A High Wind in Jamaica" (1965) with Anthony Quinn.

And finally, The Lord of the Flies, of course.

I'd definitely recommend The Cement Garden (1993).

The story shows some similarities, but it's a bit more provocative. It's a great film.
