If you read the other threads, it clearly says more than once that the film was shown last on TCM on Oct 5 2006.
If you request the film be showed again like I do from time to time, TCM might show it again.

In case you have yet not seen it, after my repeated requests to TCM in the past three years to show this film again, they will finally be showing it again (since October 2006) on August 10 at 11.30 PM EST. I am looking forward to it.

MANY thanks to Classic-ForeignFilmLover for lobbying TCM to show Our Mother's House again--I have been searching for it for years. It's not available on DVD or video(why is that??) I found out about the August 10 showing from a free internet service I stumbled upon called LocateTV. Then I looked on IMDB and found your message
Have you read the book on which the film is based? It's even better than the movie. Really! And Gertie meets a grimmer fate in the novel....I've always been curious as to why the film-makers changed it. Maybe they had to because it was just too awful?
Anyway, thanks again, whoever you are!!!

I knew nothing about this when I noticed that TCM was showing it. I'm a fan of Pamela Franklin but it was the credit of Director Jack Clayton that made me watch.

I'm glad I did. This was a truly unsettling movie and I will add my thanks to the poster that lobbied TCM to show it.

It took me more than halfway through the movie to figure out where I'd seen the actress who played Gertie. I finally realized that she played Cordelia Flyte in the BBC series BRIDESHEAD REVISITED.

I also watched this last night, stumbling on it completely by accident...can't believe I never saw it as a kid as this was just the kind of thing my dad would have watched & would have scared me half-to-death. I was very impressed with most of the children, Pamela Franklin was good as always & the bonus was a very young Mark Lester! Worth checking for it next time (AMC was playing it in string of Dirk Bogarde films)
