Sheesh... Certain whiners would do well, if instead of venting their frustration towards the film by starting a forum topic, they'd write a sensible review / comment about it. I know, this habit of laziness and / or desperate urge to get one's voice heard on this instant is more than common in IMDB, and this topic in this movie's forum is only one of the many, but I've been ticked because of this for a long time, and just can't resist the urge to open my mouth about it anymore. Still, I'm 100% sure that my ranting goes for the deaf ears. Oh, well...maybe I sleep better after this. Maybe world is a bit better place. Maybe I can sell my crap tomorrow as gold and be a rich man...
That said, I am somewhat horrified that anyone suggests that instead of this very different and surreal spaghetti western / horror hybrid, someone should rather see quite mediocre Death Rides a Horse that has little else to really SEE than settings and Lee Van Cleef. (It's not a bad effort, but so... very... standard.) This is not a perfect film, but at least it's different and not badly done at all. A matter of taste is whole other piece of cake.
Besides, we need to keep in mind that Django has no official sequels. Because Django was quite a hit especially in Germany, as a cash-out method every third (or so it seems) of Italian B-grade westerns were marketed at least in Germany by the names "Django this" and "Django that". In truth, there were no straight links with the original Django in any of them that I know of. The same goes with "Django Kill! ...If you live, shoot!": only distribution-made exploitation of the original movie.
And the final line: fans of narrow-mindedness, beware! Instead of listening to somebody who thinks he knows better than you, watch the film yourself and then make your own judgements!
"The horror... The horror."
