by being a bit more realistic and straight-faced. Those four dudes were despicable (and I'm a guy myself). Gotta hand it to Oshima for making this four years before Kubrick's similar treatise on wayward, perverted youth.

Well, now I gotta see it. So happens the university library where I live has a cracking good set of Criterion, and this is in it. My two hours (or so) is now on you... ;-)
