Where was the scene of the Nibelungen Division filmed?

Where was the scene of the Nibelungen Division filmed where all this tanks were and where sherif was shot?

reply

I don't know but the exact same building is also used as German Army Headquarters in "Eye of the Needle" starring Donald Sutherland which was released in 1981. I've compared the filming locations on both movies from the information available but no matches.

Hope someone knows the answer.

It was done at http://www.fortdecormeilles.com/

Open occasionally to visitors.

I am researching the locations used in the film & a surprising amount still exist & look as they did in the film!
The fort is a historic monument.
I have found the sites of both murders, the third wasn't shown & in the book was in Dresden not Hamburg.
It turns out I have been past most of the Paris locations but not the Warsaw ones, though they are findable on Google Street View.

Many thanks niknat2010.

I don't suppose you have the Google Street view links or photographs as I would love to see them. Pretty sure the prostitute's flat is in the Montmarte area of Paris judging by all those steps outside.

Yes it was in Montmartre area & I had visited it without knowing it was the location until I checked it.
However I have not found the site of the Paridis club but did find the Hotel Excelsior which was the real German HQ in the war, where Tanz stays but the terrace is in Versailles.
I can't pinpoint the the Warsaw Ghetto location.
