A Good Bad Movie

Christopher Lee's character was a precursor to today's no people skills video game-addled person under 35. He was a hoot.

The love triangle was a bit different for a B sci-go movie. Peter Cushing's role was less central than was usually the case but that was perhaps due to the soap opera goings on.

Fairly entertaining crisis. Liked the island setting. As nearly always, the British acting was excellent no matter how substandard a movie may otherwise be.

It was kinda surprising (and amusing) when the author plainly says of Angela, "She's a slut and I wanted her body." Even more surprising, this seemed to pacify his wife.

Earlier, Angela goes on and on to Frankie about how "attractive" her husband is. Really? He was far from George Clooney (in the 90s/early 2000s) and looked like Rod Taylor on a bad day.

The story maintains your interest as suspense slowly builds, especially concerning what’s causing the heat and the deaths. There’s a deus ex machina but, hey, the story had to end. Jane Merrow is pretty stunning, but her character needed slapped.
