Best Remembered for Mad Monster Party

Talking about the sad passing today of Phyllis Diller. One of us said she will be best remembered for "Mad Monster Party." That was our generation back in the 1960s when it was a big deal every time this movie aired on TV.

I was really hoping she'd make it to one hundred.

Of course, her first husband was known as "Fang" and she conveniently added that name to the Frankenstein monster (a fact which I did not know as kid watching this).

Very, very sad news.

And, ironically, MAD MONSTER PARTY? comes out on Blu-ray exactly two weeks after her death (it'll be out on Sept. 4, 2012). As someone who first saw the movie in a kiddie matinee when I was nine years old in 1969, I'll remember Diller for many other things because she was on TV so much, but this is now the only thing that really interests me.

Didn't even know about the Blu-ray release! Thanks for the info haristas. It would be a good way to honor the late great Ms. Diller!
